This place is a hidden gem in Bangkok! Seriously, the food here is SO authentic and delicious - it tastes like real Thai food, the kind you'd get from a street vendor or your favorite local spot. They serve premium authentic Thai dishes, and my tastebuds were singing! The quality is top-notch, and the portions are generous without being ridiculously huge. Plus, the prices are super reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, so friendly and kind, and the service went above and beyond my expectations. If you're anywhere near this restaurant in Bangkok, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it! I can't wait to go back!

Let’s be frank! We were here for the Michelin star but it was mad crazy long queue and happen to this quaint restaurant. Call it serendipity!! Fantastic food!! Love the raw shrimp salad and also the fried fish!!! We were so happy with the food we ordered another pad Thai after clearing up 2 plates of crabmeat fried rice!! We had to also try their dessert and never regretted! Really worth the trip!

Very nicely decorated restaurant with cosy antique feel. They serve Thai food which is enjoyable because we ask them to cook less spicy than the usual super spicy local recipe. Most authentic Thai food that we had was way too spicy, salty, sweet or sour but this restaurant accommodated us and moderate the taste to an enjoyable level. The herbs and spices made up to the moderated taste and add good dimension and complexity to the overall taste. The green curry is very nice and rich in herbs and savoury taste. Fish cake we had was nice. The texture and taste is balanced with the crunchy long beans and softer savoury spicy texture. Crab meat fried rice was slightly bland but delicate. A splash of the green curry gravy on the fried rice push up the taste a few notch. Overall it is a very enjoyable dining experience. We don’t really need kick as* bird eye chilli to seek food authenticity. A nicely moderated taste with complexity twist especially as requested does make the taste enjoyable. Would visit the restaurant again.

Nestled between the bustling Sathorn and Silom roads, Baan Chiang offers a serene dining experience in a charming traditional Thai wooden house. The ambiance is both cozy and authentic, providing a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. Ambiance: The restaurant features both indoor seating within the historic house and an inviting outdoor courtyard. We opted for the courtyard, which was delightful and added to the overall charm of the evening. Service: The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, embodying the warmth of Thai hospitality. Food: We began with the spicy green papaya salad with dried shrimp and deep-fried minced pork on toast accompanied by cucumber and peanut sauce. The salad was refreshingly spicy without being overwhelming, and the pork toasts were flavourful and satisfying. For our main courses, we enjoyed stir-fried prawns with garlic and white pepper, crispy tofu stir-fried with cashew nuts and roasted chilli paste, and a rich red curry with roast duck. Each dish was well-prepared, showcasing authentic Thai flavours and presented beautifully. Overall Experience: Our return to Baan Chiang after several years was a pleasant experience. The combination of authentic cuisine, charming ambiance, and excellent service makes it a noteworthy dining destination in Bangkok. If you’re seeking a genuine Thai dining experience in a tranquil setting, Baan Chiang is certainly worth a visit. (Also posted to my food blog on Instagram @AbbeyKing16)
